As a kid, this is actually how i tough fighting virus would be. Found it funny, but a bit hard (might be my aiming skills, but i kept getting cornered)
The viruses can sneak up on you without you realizing it. Their trick is that they will just go straight at you as long as they see you, so if you duck behind a wall they will stop their pursuit.
If you right click you will get a cross hair that will help you aim. :)
